Barn dried hardwood woodfuel from sustainable sources
Herts WoodFuel only supplies seasoned firewood from hardwood trees. The majority of the timber comes from woodland management operations or from arboricultural arisings received at our depot or timber specially ordered from managed woodlands.
On arrival at our depot, timber is sorted and stacked prior to processing - Herts WoodFuel is a forward thinking and progressive company, gone are the days of splitting firewood by hand (axe & wedge). All timber suitable for firewood is prepared using a modern tractor powered firewood processor.
Our Firewood Processor can process up to 15m³ of timber an hour and is able to split it up to 6-ways!
Once processed, the firewood is stored in vented bulk bags (see above) for seasoning in our well ventilated barn.
